ive seen a couple threads talking about the level of play on uNL at stars. I tend to agree. I moved out of 5c/10c and I am about to move into 25/50c soon and have noticed that 5 10c and 10 25c are tighter than the 25 50c tables ive played on. Its pretty crazy. I just thought i'd let you know you arent nuts. The micro limits on PS are often times tighter than the ssNL.

I started at $2NL on Stars and should be moving up to $25NL in the next day or so. Yes, there are a lot of tight players but this is also very dependent on the times that you play. Start playing late night (between 10PM-3AM EST) and weekend nights and you will almost always be able to find at least 4 tables with 2 or 3 loose, chip spewing players apiece.

game selection is more important. If your playing on a table with a bunch of tags, look for another table. Also as mentioned before it also depends on the time/day you play. Sunday it looks like an aquarium.

remarks: If you think the 1/2 cent tables are tight, wait till you move up.. On the small tables, just wait for a big hand and shove. Sets are gold.

Maybe not as many as there were in the past few years, and definitely not as many from the U.S. since online poker got Fristed. But in just the last month I've seen a great deal more German and Russian players on the site. All of the large poker sites are going gangbusters to open up expanded customer bases in Eastern Europe, Australia, Russia, and other previously untapped markets. I wouldn't be surprised if we see another poker boom in the next one or two years, especially if a major tournament like the WSOP has a non-U.S. winner.

QFT. Seriously, if you don't play any other time today play the late night tonight. On Sunday nights during the hours I mentioned earlier, the games are so good as to be almost pornographic.

I personally dont think this is too true. I am doing something in the offtime kind of like chris fergason did. I tend to pick the looser tables with the biggest pots for that level. I sit to the left of bigger stacks if possibe, smaller stacks on my left.

Some players may be tight, doesnt mean they know how to fold if they hit something past the flop. no one can fold a draw if theyre life depended on it, gut shots they think about folding, but an open ender, or flush draw, forget about it. I play the micros differently, and Im not a huge fan of overbetting, but they call them, so when theres a draw or ace on board they will often call turn pushes/overbets. at the same time they almost always bluff bet the river with missed hands when checked to. most can rarely lay down a pair in general, let alone when u check behind the turn.

some days it may be poker bingo, because there are more showdowns it seems then higher stakes, but these games are pretty sick.

either way, Ive seen few players with any well laid foundations.
