Default LC: Why does mNL seem so much harder than SSNL

Some background: I used to play low level sit n gos ($5 - 20) and lots of 6 max .25/.5 and .5/1, but I recently went busto because of some very silly bankroll management. Anyway, I've recently tried to rebuild my roll through NL10 on FT, but I am hving such a hard time. I've played about 4K hands, and if not for a bonus I'd be down 3 - 4 buyins. I did relatively well playing SSNL 6 max, so is that game much different from mNL? I feel like I can't get ANY value out of my big hands because they fold to my raises, and a lot of my marginal holdings are getting drawn out on very frequently by hands that shouldn't be in there. Bit of a rambling post, but if there's any information that I need to supply to get a better look at my game please don't hesitate to berate me.

BBV ... 4K is such a small sample size that anything is possible.

Ok..but my question is really is there anything that is mostly successful at the SSNL level that is not advisable or -EV at the mNL level?
