recommend me some good podcasts

im trying to get on board w/ this whole podcast deal. not sure what i think of it yet. maybe be it's too much of a hassle to wade through long lists and find good ones, download, and then remember to listen. im not sure but what i do need to get started is a good library to choose from.

so far i have Learn Spanish with Coffee Break Spanish, NPR Fresh Air, and the 10th Wonder Podcast - Heroes. All of these are available through itunes.

some of my interests include general news, poker, heroes, lost, techie stuff as long as it's not toooo involved, and personal finance.

that's not my only focus, but just a few general things about me. can you help me (and others) get started?

Engadget probably most closely meets your interests, but the other two are really great and worth listening to.

Tony Kornheiser is entertaining and covers general pop culture as well as sports. His podcast is his radio show without the commercials. He spends too much time on American Idol for my taste, but it's still entertaining.

Cardplayer's The Circuit used to be a good poker podcast, but it sucks now with the new hosts.

bd, There was a post about this from several months back that didn't have many responses, but nonetheless I'm interested in this as well. FWIW, my favorite podcasts right now are This American Life, Fresh Air, and Morning Becomes Eclectic. The old Ricky Gervais podcasts are hilarious.

looking at those, engadget and tony kornheiser sound pretty interesting. i spend way too much time listening to talk radio, so if it's that format w/ no commercials, im game. adding both of those. thanks.

dave, yes i saw the post from months ago that didnt get many replies. i was hoping a new spin and a few extra months might give this idea life. ill check out some of those topics as well. sounds like we have similar tastes.

There's one called "LSAT logic in everyday life". Don't be put off by the name - it applies the principles taught in LSAT logic to current events. The 'casts are only ~10 minutes, and provide an interesting critical view of the world around us.

Anyone involved in managing people should listen to Manager-Tools.
