I think calling with position isn't a bad play as well, it also lets you keep a sence of deceptiveness. If you shove or 4 bet your hand becomes rather transparent here. I still recommend that you 4 bet here. I dont like shoving over 4 betting here.

your hand only becomes transparent when you 4bet if you don't 4bet anything else.

me, I'm 4betting AA/KK/AK almost all the time. I am also sometimes 4betting weaker pairs as well as 67s. This works well within the context of a LAG style where you're playing like 25/22 or 30/25 or something and get 3bet with a wide range, because folks will 3bet you with a lot but have trouble handling 4bets. If you are playing 15/13 or something then I agree that flat calling is good as well, but IMO it's a mistake when you raise 18%+ pre.

BTW when I 4bet I will nearly always make a "normal" size 4bet. Then I will def call a shove with AK and big pairs, but obv fold when I was 4betting with 67s.

How is my hand transparent when I said I usually play AA or KK the same way. It is transparent that I have a good hand though.

This sounds like the best strategy although I rarely 4b bluff.

Yeah, if you push AA and AK, then you are right ... also I am on the fourbet bluff once every blue moon wagon, but sitting on the immediate left of the same 2+2'er for hours at three tables does start to get slightly youknowthatIknowthatyouknowthatIknowthativebeenthr eebettingyoualldaybutthenyouknowthatIknowThat ......

Funny, he replied in that thread. I just bumped it. Maybe they'll add it to the Sticky. I hadn't seen it before.

Woa that 4bet is way way way too small. You lose value from smaller pairs (like QQ) that aren't going anywhere, and if he was 3b bluffing, you price him in. When you start using 4b bluffs to increase deceptiveness and make yourself harder to play against, pricing him in with a hand like QJs can be a big problem when you hold 67s or something.

yea something like 60 might have been better, but his 3b is small too. I'm not sure how you figure he is priced in with 67s or QJs? He doesn't hit two pair or better often enough.
