ok now after reading a lot of the posts:

why are people hating on preflop? obviously most of the time you should be mucking this hand pre, but you've gotta 3bet with it occasionally too.

[ QUOTE ]
How is getting into a big pot oop with 65s ever going to be good play? If he calls too light just do it with good hands?

[/ QUOTE ]

exactly horrible pf play, and terrible river call

I won, AJss no good. Chumps...

Too much discussion on standard pf play and not figuring out whether riv should be called. Drunk, dont be offended.

AJ is about the only hand you beat here given his pf range, maybe AK....its a shame you already posted the results cuz i just saw this now and wouldve looked like a genius if i had called the hand 10 mins ago.

i actually like the river call but if i were mixing up my reraising range against a guy as described i would skip over small connectors

I think this call is -EV, but it's not terrible either.

ya'll have lost your mind, such an easy fold. He checks behind like AQ and KK and KQ and other stuff on the turn then value bets the river when it's clear you're not that strong. He's even bluffing with some hands that have you beat, and you're basically ONLY beating like... AK? spades?

PF is far from standard like everyone is saying. 3betting lite is great and all but you clearly are misunderstanding why it's a bad idea to 3-bet a 15/11 who calls 3-bets with a wide range and is in position.

MTSuper,

EMc & Jay,
I'm not allowed to 3b light? I'm not allowed to increase my range and make it harder for a player to read me that I see everyday? If he calls light pf hes making a mistake since I'm not going to stack off easily when he hits and I can put pressure on his marginal hand.

[/ QUOTE ]

Compare this to:
[ QUOTE ]
RIV ($80): 3
Hero checks, villian shoves ($60.5), Hero Calls.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, i know you won the hand, so you did not stack off easily...

Preflop seems bad to me when you know he is calling your 3 bets light. Sure you could mix in a few 3bets with 65s occasionally, but it seems pointless to do it when he probably views you as a light 3better.
I don't think the river call is profitable in the long run either.

Anyway, I know that i would not 3bet preflop here because i would not be able to play this hand profitably postflop. Sure it might help you to get paid from your good hands later, but the loss from 3betting here is to big for me.
