Default Good play ?

Hi,

Middle of a 2$ tournament.

Hero : 6000
Villain1 : 2800
VIllain 2 : 5400

Villain 1 is all in UTG (very agressive player)
Hero (UTG+1) : KK Calls (not quickly)
Villain 2 (SB) calls

Flop : J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Hero is all in.
Villain 2 calls.

Bad play, good play ??

I was looking to win as much chips as possible.

Thanks

finally some good strat for micro limits, newer players take notes on how to play KK in a $2 tournament. i'm usually sarcastic but here i'm not this is a good play in this tournament.

do you still push if an ace hits? i'm really not sure that i like the call pre flop rather than an all in raise unless there are aggressive players after who are going to push behind.

randal can you please explain your reasoning?

Yes, the risk is the set. But I wanted to take this risk to try to win a lotButI don't think Villain2 would risk half his chips with JJ or 99.

Villain 1 had 22. But villain 2 had AK and he catchs an A on the river . So I don't know if my play was EV+ or not. I think yes

The only other way to play this hand would have been to push pre-flop in an attempt to isolate villian 1. I don't dislike the call though. You have a very strong hand. Don't be results oriented. If you were going to just call pre-flop in an attempt to get another player to call while he is behind, pushing any non Ace flop (and perhaps any flop at all) is a good move. I don't want to check and give someone a chance to suck out with an A. You're way ahead 75+% of the time on this flop. It sucks that villian 1 hit a set, but that's the way it goes sometimes. It also sucks that villian 2 hit an A, but he called with only 3 outs or about 13% to hit his A on the turn or river, and even then, he could only win the side pot. Good play
