Re: 200-400 During LAPC...Im such a donkey!!!!
[ QUOTE ]
especially the part about the game continuing thinking Nomar was too tight to win 3 handed. [/ QUOTE ] If you want them to continue thinking you play too tight, then you shouldn't let this hand get to showdown. But after the flop play a showdown seems almost inevitable (your opponent is not likely to lay down). |

I think I played with him on my last trip to Commerce. If it's the same guy, he NEEDS to buy in for 3 racks. I thought he played exceptionally well after the flop, but with a very high variance style. I never saw him run bad, but when he does, I can easily see him going through a couple racks in no time.

Re: 200-400 During LAPC...Im such a donkey!!!!
[ QUOTE ]
I think he gets 3-bet more often than he gets a fold. [/ QUOTE ] This might be true, but it's dangerous thinking if you use this to conclude that raising is wrong. For example, say he 3-bets 70% of the time, and folds 30%. In this case, raising is HUGELY profitable, and failing to raise because you are afraid of the frequent 3-bet is playing into the aggressive players hands. A fold is much more valuable than a dodged 3-bet in a pot this size, and you have extra equity of maintaining your squeaky-tight image to boot. -eric |
