Hero ($116.95)
BB ($52.15)
UTG ($19)
MP ($127.75)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
1 fold</font>, MP raises to $4</font>, 1 fold</font>, Button calls $4, Hero raises to $16.5</font>, BB calls $15.50, MP folds, Button folds.

Flop: ($41) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)</font>

also, if this flop is a rainbow whats our line?

also - is there anything that he can be smooth calling with here PF that would make this a good move on his part given his stack size?

bb has only 46 left and pot is 41...any reasonable bet will commit him and you to the hand so I think a check is ok here...if you bet..it doesnt have to be more than 24 or so and you can dump to a shove but the only hand a reasonable villain would have here that you beat are AQ/AJ/KQsIMO so check is better

i dont see how you could possibly say bet fold is okay here
i think its either c/r or bet and be willing to get it in , pot will be offering too good of odds to bet and then fold

That's a bad spot. Bet folding is horrible, so you have to either check or bet call. Check looks like the best option here.

If the flop is rainbow, I bet call a shove a lot (against a short stack)

Your hand right now has zero showdown value which is what you're getting into with villan or he's laying it down if you bet.

Unless you're prepared to show down in this spot, pass. Which I can't imagine you would be.

I really dont like a bet here. Yes you showed strength at the start, but should you c-bet here? With this board I say no. You did not hit your a or k and you dont even have a diamond. The only way of winning this pot is by betting however but in my opinion it is not worth betting. Remeber poker is not a game of winning pots it is a game of making the play with the greatest EV or least -EV. Unfournately bad flop here for you.

Easy check-fold. BBs cold-call is very strong and you have like zero fold equity.
