The only reason to just call is if he has a worst flush draw and is likely to play a big pot with it. Otherwise it should be AYCE. You have so much [censored] crushed and you're slightly worse than a flip with a set.

Yeah this is massive. He is going to play a combo draw like this too so you're not always going to run into a set. Play for stacks.

I am shoving this... 10 outs minimum, and I am thinking any 3, any 7, any ace, and hearts are good, at LEAST. That's if you're not already ahead... I am shoving this, yeah. He got 88... he still gotta pray to the poker gods.

ok, so ya like i said, ive been playing to passive durring thsi session, mostly cuz im in a horrible downswing(and playing passive in these spots probably isnt helping me get out of it). i decided to just call thinking if hes got a set i have no FE, and i could see a turn/river w/o losing my whole stack, and if he does have a weaker draw than me i probably have him crushed and want to let him bust himself.

i dunno i dont like how i played it, i usually just jam the flop, but i tried something different this time.

the more i think about it the more i wish i would have shoved, becuase hes probably not folding many draws to a shove and i have alot of draws in bad shape.

A lot of draws he might have, your pair 8s alone can hold up to win it.
