Give him credit the first time around and fold pf ... if he continues to do it, start fourbetting or floating him at some point

Ever the harsh task master Gelford

Sound, although i prefer floating before resorting to 4 betting myself untill a range is better defined. It really can mess with a thinking players mind ands encourages some big mistakes in post flop play.

limp re-raises are NOT always monsters.

However AJo is trash at the best of times - and this isn't the best of times.

Fold preflop to the re-raise.

Agreed. People seem to do this alot w/ medium strength hands like 99, TT, AQ etc. I have 4-bet them in position and taken it down b4. AJo is never a hand to take to war however and his medium strength hand probably beats yours..

Even with this range, AJ is 50/50 at best. Easy toss with no reads.

No reads = give them benefit of the doubt = you save bank in long run.

He has AA at least 75% of the time. So fold to his reraise preflop. This is a well known trap.

Consider folding QQ and below. LOL. Seriously. Unless you've seen him do this before or you have implied odds to bust the AA.

The only hand I think about calling here readless and shallow is KK. And I do think about it. If I have KK he probably has AA. I think... can I really fold KK preflop? No? Alright then, but don't pretend you didn't know what he has later and pretend this was a bad beat. Deal. And then I proceeed to lose my stack to AA.

Your first inclination should be that he's got AA or KK. I do however see this sort of thing with hands like 55-88. Some players want to see a cheap flop to catch a set and you just spoiled if for them by raising. Dont know if this could have been the case here but this does seem to motivate certain types of players to do this.

Villain is only at 50BB at start of the hand. Has he lost a couple of hands and just not bothering to rebuy or does he buy-in short?
