Re: Why AREN\'T You Vegetarian?
Because I like meat.
Oh, and you're using the word "logic" like women do. Are you from Venus? |

Re: Why AREN\'T You Vegetarian?
After being a vegetarian for seven years, I went out one night with some friends to a local restuarant and the special was baby back ribs. I couldn't stop thinking about them so I ordered the ribs. Some of my friends were so happy they called other friends.
So I guess my answer is because I like ribs. |

[ QUOTE ]
So speak up meat-eaters, why? [/ QUOTE ] Some of my favorite foods contain meat and it wouldn't taste the same without it. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy vegetables too. Vegetables may be good alone, but accompanied by a medium rare steak, a rack of BBQ ribs, lamb chops, goat curry, peking duck, curried chicken, [insert any other meat dish here], that [censored] is unstoppable. |

Re: Why AREN'T You Vegetarian? [/ QUOTE ] LOL [ QUOTE ] Is it just because you like the taste of meat? [/ QUOTE ] This is 90% of it [ QUOTE ] Because otherwise, all reasonable logic seems to say that a vegetarian diet makes perfect sense. [/ QUOTE ] Why? [ QUOTE ] A vegetarian diet is generally cheaper [/ QUOTE ] Sorta true, but if I was a vegetarian I'd have to stop by the store to buy fresh food every other day thus wasting time and gas. [ QUOTE ] healthier [/ QUOTE ] No, it's not healthier then eating meat [ QUOTE ] and more environmentally- and animal-friendly than a meat-filled diet. [/ QUOTE ] I don't care about the animals, they were put here for me to eat. The environment part sucks, but oh well. |

Re: Why AREN\'T You Vegetarian?
[ QUOTE ]
Also, do you know how crazy the world would become if no animals were ever killed by humans for food? It would be insane. I would be afraid to leave my house. [/ QUOTE ] What are you talking about? I would say that 99.99% of all animals we eat were raised and cultivated for that purpose alone. Downtown New York wouldn't get flooded with cows if we stopped eating them. |

Re: Why AREN\'T You Vegetarian?
Will power and ease of eating. I confess that I wish I was more of a vegetarian. I try to duck red meat but Big Mac attacks are as mysterious as a sudden uncontrollabale urge to raise it on suited connectors on the button. The Devil makes you raise it when a cheap flop would be o.k. I am a big believer in fish, Omega 3, Tuna, Salmon. I try to live on veggies and fish and playing good hole cards. |

Re: Why AREN\'T You Vegetarian?
There is basically one reason why I eat meat. It tastes great. If something that grew out of the ground tasted as good as a medium rare steak, I'd be eating that. And if meat tasted like a salad, I'd be a vegan no prob.
My diet is not a political statement. |
