Perhaps Robert Frost put it best:

Pigs taste good as bacon or pork,
I like to eat them with a fork.

I would say that sex and food are two greatest things that life has to offer. I myself would never become a vegetarian life too short not to indulge.

because not eating meat is against the norm. you are the one deviating from the norm, so you are the one who is supposed to say why

[/ QUOTE ]

Ok, but why is it the norm? Just because we've always eaten meat, so we might as well not stop now? Like I said, all logic seems to say that vegetarian is the way to go.

I'm pretty sure you don't understand the definition of "logic."

do we HAVE to get into an evolutionary debate as to how we evolved to eat meat due lack of readily available source of protein before we agriculture was a center of human society? things that taste good taste good because they have something we need in them. unfortunately due to the over-availability of food the good taste is no longer our only way of finding needed food and can be bad for us.

i don't think the word "logic" means what you think it does.

i don't care that the animals i eat have to die prematurely and i don't care about the miniscule effect on the environment my personal dietary choices have. i'm not worried about how much it costs and i'm quite happy to eat "less healthy" things if they taste good.
