Re: Leading a Lab Seminar on Poker, Need Help (XPost Theory)
Moozh,
First of all, don't waste time with that Shania crap. I hate that [censored]. You need to ask yourself what you're trying to accomplish. Do you want to teach a bunch of people the mechanics of hold em (which is time consuming), or do you want to focus on the reasons why tight aggressive play dominates loose aggressive play, how and why tight passive can be effective, etc.? You're not going to turn them into students of the game, stick to the bare minimum they need to relate it to your class. The guy that suggested reducing it to all in preflop strategy is on to something. Get into stuff like how if you push only aces preflop, people catch on and adapt, and then you can push crappy hands preflop, and they re-adapt, and you both try to stay one step ahead of each other, etc. |
