Sure at microlimits. It's just that you will see more winning players grinding it out at multiple table online. The higher the limit, the more of them you'll see.

Oh by the way, another thing I forgot to mention. Live play is assumed to be full table. Internet play often means 6 max to many people. So it would address full ring internet games, not 6 max so much. 6 max requires more aggression preflop IMO.
