It has been calculated on this forum numerous times that you only get an equivalent of ~27% rakeback when you are supernova+ on Stars.

[/ QUOTE ]

this is for SNG's or MTT's where the value is static at each level.

On cash-games it varies by stakes. And THIS is what has been repeated multiple times on these forums to those who keep reciting the 27% figure.

At the stakes I've been playing for the past couple days at Supernova I have been making 38% rake-back.
This would be 27% at Platinum level.
No, I'm not going to tell you what stakes those are.
Do the math yourself people. It's not hard.

On 1/2 and 2/4 limit full-ring I would estimate the percentage to be even higher but I'm not sure.

LOL at anyone who says they can't make gold-level.
Have you even looked into what the requirements are for gold? Why would you say you can't make it if you haven't even looked?
About 9-12 hours a month of .5/1 NL or 1/2 or 2/4 limit full-ring should get you there.
If you can't make that then the amount you are making on rakeback is pretty inconsequential anyway and giving that as your reason for not playing on Stars is silly.

Also - For those who only want cash and can't seem to read:
You can just exchange your points for cash in the Stars points store.
You don't have to buy anything.
You can just take the cash.
Did I mention that you can just take the cash?

I assume you mean by choosing a bonus? But you have to play for them again right, which dimishes the $/FPP a bit.

Can someone here tell me which is the better option for the stakes and games I play?

I currently play 4 tables of 3/6 6m at about 200 hours a month.

Question: Will I make more from changing FTT points from Pstars OR the 27% from FT?

**Are the games juicy at this level over there?

Thanks.

i would play like a lot more at full tilt if stars had better table mods, that's the truth.

I have total black out table on full tilt with phatty liver style cards. Can't get anything like that on stars.

(cry for help)

not really.
The only way this diminishes the value is if you had previously planned on never playing there again.

Take the Supernova bonus of $1500 for 100k points for example.
It takes 10.5k VPP's to clear which is about 30k FPP's.

You are still getting $1500 every 100k FPP's. It's just that you don't get it when your counter shows 100k. You have to 'purchase it' with your points and keep on playing.
Essentially your counter resets at 0 after every 100k FPP's and you get it every time it shows 30k.

So the difference is trivial.
Again, the only exception is if you intended on never playing there again.

I heard Lee Jones pleasures himself staring at Chris Moneymaker autographed posters he bought using his FPP points. I prefer the Hachem posters.

Not enough caffeine when I made this post so I wanted to make the correction before somebody jumps all over my back for misleading them.

The above quote was assuming you were 10-12 tabling these stakes so would be making roughly 400 points an hour (4k needed for Gold).
Obviously if you are more casual about it and only play 2-4 tables then you will need to put in significantly more hours to make Gold VIP.

I am not sure I would call people out for being stupid when you are saying "I will not play at Stars without rakeback!" after multiple people have stated in this thread that they get at least 27% or more rakeback at Stars now via the VIP program.

I personally play NL50 Full at the moment and according to my PT stats, I am getting over 27% now and I am not Supernova either.

As Bob has pointed out already, depends on the type and level of games you play.
