I don't play on FT, but don't they have RB and some sort of full tilt points with some decent stuff you can get in their store? It's not like you have to just have RB or just FPPs, it seems you could have both.

stuff bought with full tilt points = deducted from mgr (bonuses also deducted obv)

at stars you don't need to get supernova to have your fpps be comparable to rakeback. if you play $100NL or higher, it doesn't take a ton of hands to get to platinum star each month, where you earn FPPs at a 2.5x rate.

Plus the fish are at Stars, plus Stars supports pwns FTP support, plus cashing out by check at Stars is easy and fast.

I haven't played a hand at a site other than Stars in months.

yes, they have a store too.
The points are worth much less than they are on Stars.

Just because they have a store and rakeback doesn't necessarily mean it's better or worse. And this stuff really isn't that hard to figure out.

"OMG THEY HAVE A STORE!!" is worthless information.
What are the points worth and what is available in the store?
In the Stars store I can get cash.
That works for me.

Like I said I don't play there, so I have no idea what they have in their store, or how much the items cost, I was just saying that you can indeed have both RB and an FPP store. Now just think if stars gave 27% RB and had the same store with simular FPP values, noone would have any reason to play elsewhere.

Edit to say I suck at poker and I am not good enough to get past gold on a good month, so no cash money for me

Well yeah. If Stars kept the same store where I'm already making more than 27% and then gave me another 27% on top of that I agree that would be a good deal.

That's kind of obvious, isn't it?
This still has nothing to do with whether it's 'better' to have RB AND a points-store or just a points-store.

For many situations, Stars with only a points-store is better than FT 27% RB and a points-store that might be worth 1%-ish.

You can get cash-for-points in the Stars FPP store at Gold VIP level..although it's not nearly as good a deal as the cash at higher VIP levels or just finding an item in the store that interests you.

Seems some people who criticize the points system and supposed 'lack of rakeback' at Stars haven't even looked at the store to see what the value is (which has also been calculated in numerous threads on here) which I think is strange.
I look at both, and decided to play on the site that has the better value...which also happens to have the better software and CS imo.

FTP has rakeback and FPPs. I don't care about FPPs I prefer cash. So for everyone that say's "you get FPPs and that's better than rake back." I GET BOTH at FTP.

I get FPP and rakeback at Full Tilt. I also am not at any gold VIP status. I really prefer the cash vs. player points anyway.
