JJ against a semi nit
I'm playing against villain on 2 tables here. We're next to each other but our positions are reversed on the other table. I think my image is TAG. He's about 16/12/7 through 125 or so hands. I haven't noticed him 3-bet anyone preflop yet.
What's he floating with here that he pushes the turn with? I thought about stack-a-donking the turn but didn't want to risk the free cards and he'd probably only call he when I'm beat. Seems like 22 or 55? If you say fold, what's my minimum hand requirement to call? Re: JJ against a semi nit
Against a player THIS nitty and the fact that you haven't seen him 3-bet pre not even once is a good reason to fold nothing but KK AA maybe QQ.
Also do you remember how he played middle pairs? |

Re: JJ against a semi nit
Never really saw him showdown much, and I never remember him being in pots that were very big.
Edit: just checked PT. He hadn't shown a hand down yet, and his biggest P&L on a hand was +/- 20 BB's |

Re: JJ against a semi nit
I could find a call here AA/KK and thats about it. If he does this more often than once per 125 hands my standards drop to JJ.
Meh, i think even KK would be borderline here. |

Re: JJ against a semi nit
You dont think villian is doing this with a lot of pocketpairs? I think 55 is way more plauseable then 22. Is that his aggression factor of 7?

Re: JJ against a semi nit
I would really check turn here, possibly just c-c. Do you really think he would call the flop with just overcards? IMO this is wa/wb. Checking gets lots more value out of say, 88, and loses less against a 9 or 22, so I'd do that.

But, it's not a hugely accurate metric through only just over 100 hands. After the flop, AK and PP's are definitely in his range. |

Even if you were holding AA, I would say it is hard to make a decision. Does the villian has aggression factor of 7? If it is the case, I am leaning towards calling. It seems to me that the villian wants to push you out of the hand. |

Re: JJ against a semi nit
Well even over 100 hands, dont you think he is reraising you with QQ-AA probably, and dont you think he is raising the flop with 22 with such a high AF? I am prob taking this to the felt considering I am only scared of 55 but we cant just assume he has 55 when with his AF he could easily be doing this with any PP and bluffing.
