Don't play WoW unless you enjoy paying money for gaining weight and losing friends

That being said, don't bother getting BC until you're 60, is what I understand.

The two new races aren't available unless you buy the expansion as well.

If you really want to play it - there were brand new packageless copies at Half Price Books for $2.99. They included two weeks rather than the whole month of play time.

You can DL the entire game for free and play a 10 day free trial (that's how I got started).

The DL is huge, like 3 gigs.

Also trial users have to wait FOREVER to get a spot on the server (all paying users get priority over trial users).

There are also a few other restrictions (can't trade with other players, can't get past level 20, etc.)

However at any time if you want you can subscribe and all the restrictions disappear.

Ya I'm just playing the trial now until I find a way to get a serial key. (cough) isn't an option because it's multiplayer.

I've played the game before, remember, and thought it wasn't bad. While playing now I still think it's ok. The only reason I'm really playing is because my friends want to. Frankly, I'd give Barbie's Fashion Show Online a run if 10 of my friends already played it, but that's not the point.

You can buy WOW for $19.99 in the store. Get a free month trial too.

Maybe I'm just not an MMPORG kind of guy, but I downloaded the 10-day trial, and was totally unimpressed, and bored out of my mind. Does it take time to get into? I just can't see anything happening in the game to make me want to keep playing it. Which from what I hear, is a good thing. I play enough WCIII as it is.

I got BC and hit 70. I play every so often on new characters, mostly when im tilting at poker. I definitely run in cycles where I play tons of wow then none for like 2 weeks.

WoW should hook you quickly. If it doesn't, you're lucky and smart.
