Default girlfriend in vegas

my gf and i are heading to vegas and as she is not a gambooler i thought i would consult the forum for things for us /her to do.
also we are looking at staying at the tuscan suites (sp?) place anyone stayed there?
she really likes modern art, and literature so anything to do with such from 4/1- 4/6 would be good
we are planning on seeing zumanity one of the nights we are there.
she is vegetarian so good veggie restaurants a plus.
for me mixed and non holdem games in the 5/10 - 15-30 range hold a lot of interest too but i can figure that out easier than nongambooling things of course.
thanks,
jason

Rent a car and give her the keys, Bellagio, Wynn, and Venetian are the hotels to "see". Red Rock Canyon and The Damn are also interesting. Most any of the hotels will have vegan style menu. Tell her to bring a couple of good books and enjoy the pool. IMO - Zoomanity is not that good. Get tickets for "Mystere" and "O", then go see Zoomanity, you'll understand after you've see the previous two shows. One last thing if she needs pampering, let her go to one of the many day spas. It is always the best money spent for my wife when we go, I can gamble most of the day and she's out of my hair for time being, not forgetting to mention, she'll come back like jello and will more than likely hit the sack early after a big meal the same night.

Good Luck!

she has already seen "O" and thus wants to see zumanity this time, (she was in vegas for a weekend last summer). red rock trumps hoover dam i guess? ive never been to red rock. Pool looks nice at that tuscan place thus that is our choice so far. is the bellagio the spa to hit or can a great spa be had for less than bellagio dollars? thanks for the reply Oh one more thing statues water wynn what time of day is that? would make for a good coffee break im guessing...

If she likes the idea of seeing a good show that also has kink to it, I'll suggest "The Fashionistas."

Never heard of it? I'm not surprised. The show is not in a casino hotel, and does not have a huge PR machine to promote it.

It is a pretty good show, however. The narrative is told through dance, with little dialogue. Not for everyone, but the way you describe your girlfriend, I think she'll appreciate it.

The story is about self discovery, and is overtly kinky. Not all of the dance numbers will do it for you, but (most likely) at least some will. Some of them you are going to find downright silly, but the show has some light moments that are meant to be comic.

The production values of the choreography and costumes are top notch. The dance is real, and so these are real dancers' bodies. The sets are not as elaborate as what you can expect from Cirque, but there is clever use of video and other props.

Finally, it's cheaper than Zumanity, and you should be able to find discounts in coupon books if you look. In fact, I just found a two-for-one coupon online.

For art, there's always the gallery at Bellagio. It costs money to get in, but it's got quite a collection.

I would add that the indoor sky diving located right off strip near stratosphere was fun and worth (I think) the ~$85. Also, the rides ON Stratosphere. Do you both golf? I liked Mystere (Cirque show at TI) and so did the wife.

Enjoy

i went to vegas over thanksgiving with my wife. she is not much of a gambler, but i was able to convince her to play 2/4 limit "for an hour or two." by 6:00 AM i was ready to leave, but she wanted to keep playing.

so you can always try to get your GF addicted to gambling.

I have not seen Zumanity, mostly because everyone that I know who has seen it has told me not to bother. Mystere is very good as well as La Reve. La Femme would be a good one for you to see together.

Does she have a buddy that is single? If so, take the buddy with you. You can play poker and they can sightsee, shop, hit the spa, go to shows. This is a winning strategy if your wife/girl friend doesn't gamble. We take one of my wife's buddies with us on every gambling trip. It's the best idea I ever had.

For veggie food, try Lotus of Siam off strip. I have not been, but it comes up a lot as a veggie spot, and Ed Miller used to rave about it. Review from LVRJ

This citysearch list has other places, but the fact that Lotus of Siam is not on the list makes me question it.
