QQ against the world.
PokerRoom 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)
Didnt like this hand all that much. I did the right thing and raised UTG+2. I collected 6 callers. The dreaded overcard came on the flop. The pot was already so big. I felt like i had to be beat, but i also felt i had to at least bet. Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $0.50. UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, Hero raises, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, 3 folds, BB calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls. Flop: (15.50 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (7 players) BB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, BB calls, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls. Turn: (10.75 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 players) BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero? Betting attracted 5 callers on the flop. So the pots over 10BB on the turn. I guess the logical thing to do is to assume im beat and check fold. Out of 5 callers, at least one must have a K... right? |

Re: QQ against the world.
I would check fold, but I'm a newbie
You have two outs = 4 %, but if there's any betting you would have to assume you're beat. To summarize: if you check and someone bets, you'll have to fold. OTOH, nobody bet on the K, so you could try a bet - they might put you on KK, as your betting has consistently shown a strong hand. You could even try a checkraise, but only if your opponent(s) has shown to fold out to agression. upon edit: your opponents are probably drawing to a flush or a straight? |

Re: QQ against the world.
well, no one raised my flop bet. My line of thinking is kind of like this: I got 5 callers. Thanks a total of 10 cards. theres 3 remaining kings, and therefore over a %60 chance one of those kings is within those 10 cards. And on top of that calling in general, even in loose games usually indicates some kind of hand.

Re: QQ against the world.
But why wouldn't they raise a top pair? Low kicker? Passive play?

Re: QQ against the world.
I would raise and fold to a reraise, on the flop there could be straighthunters and others waiting for flush. Another guy might just have A9 or something, its hard to tell if they are all playing that loose.
So just bet the flop, fold to a reraise and reevaluate the river. (feel free to comment on my comment, i'm also here to learn ) |

Re: QQ against the world.
I lead at the flop and was called, if one of my opps had bet in front of me i would have raised, and floped if he 3 bet. Instead i got a bunch of callers. So raising was never an option. :/

Re: QQ against the world.
I would plan on check/folding, then I prefer bet/folding.
