was I too aggressive here?
I'm trying not to be too MUBS, but i wondered if I played this poorly.
No reads on villain. Table is loose-passive. Typical bodog. MP is super loose, very passive. Won't raise with a made boat. Don't quite know how he's still playing poker... Bodog fiddy-cent/ 1 dallah 10 players Hero is MP with T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2 folds Hero calls, 1 fold, MP2 calls, 1 fold, button calls, SB fold, BB checks. Probably a loose limp, hey ho. Might have been better raised but it's a bit weak for this. This should have been a fold in retrospect. FLOP (4SB) 5 players Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] BB checks, hero bets, MP2 calls, villain calls, BB folds. Really wasn't sure anyone would bet this, definitely couldn't afford to give out free cards here either...but still a bad donk? TURN (3.5BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] hero bets, MP calls, villain raises, hero 3-bets, MP2 folds, villain calls. RIVER (10.5BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] hero bets, villain calls. Final pot: 12.5BB. Comments greatly appreciated. Too aggressive with 2p here when villain comes alive with a sorta straight-tastic board? |

Re: was I too aggressive here?
hmm.... your preflop is interesting. its probably okay. folding wouldnt be terrible either tho.
flop is fine. turn is fine. if he caps there im c/c river.... just calling down from the raise would probly be ok too. river is fine as played. |

Re: was I too aggressive here?
Preflop IS a little loose, but probably not too bad as long as there's not a lot of pfr'ing going on.
Flop is a must-bet at this table. On the turn, you've got a passive table and 76,234 fishy straights just hit. Yes, bet, but just call the raise, c/c the river. As played the river is fine. |

Re: was I too aggressive here?
I think you played it just fine except the preflop fold. I would definitely bet the flop like you did and I'm pretty sure everyone else would as well. I'll let others comment on turn and river play.

Re: was I too aggressive here?
I LOVE IT! Raising preflop, meh. I would have folded preflop, but the rest of the hand is fine.

Re: was I too aggressive here?
Pre-flop for me is fold or raise with that hand,
flop, turn and river seem fine, although i might be tempted to c/c the river if he had bet again on the turn. |

Re: was I too aggressive here?
I only play QTo from late position and the blinds, although limping here is probably only a small mistake.
Definitely bet the flop. When the villain raises the turn that looks like a straight, although it could be 2 pair. With no read on the villain, I’d call this down from there, unless you improve. If the villain really had a straight, I’m surprised he didn’t raise you again on the river. |

Re: was I too aggressive here?
PF is a little loose for my nitty taste. I don't have that big of a problem with it. Just for the record, I would raise QTs here.
Flop=standard The turn 3-bet is a little much against a total calling station. Against anyone else, I'd take them on a trip to 3-town. As played, I like the river bet, but I would just c/c the river after I wussed out and just called the turn. |
