Default River Decision with AK vs 17/5

villian is a pretty typical weak player, I don't have any notes so he hasn't done anything too stupid

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (9 handed) internettexasholdem.com

Hero ($109.55)
CO ($18.50)
Button ($43.60)
SB ($111.05)
BB ($87.70)
UTG ($106.50)
UTG+1 ($51.85)
MP1 ($208.25)
MP2 ($100)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG calls $1, UTG+1 calls $1, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $6</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, BB calls $5, UTG calls $5, UTG+1 calls $5.

Flop: ($24.50) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
BB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $20</font>, BB folds, UTG calls $20, UTG+1 folds.

Turn: ($64.50) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
UTG checks, Hero checks.

River: ($64.50) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">UTG bets $20</font>, Hero?

Easy call. Wouldn't be surprised if villain had AK as well.

I don't know exactly how you define "weak," but I would expect that means that a bluff is less likely. It seems more likely to try to check down AK, AQ, or J-10 at this point.

I would fold.

bottomset only needs to be good here 1 in 5 times. we'll see some stupid missed diamond draw/mid-par often enough given he limp/called from UTG, esp since im sure bottomset has been raising +c-betting enough that bad players arent going to expect him to show up w/ TPTK here

You checked behind on the turn. This is going to make even the most passive players take a stab at the pot. Also, the bet isn't even close to the pot size. This is an easy call IMO.

call.

expect to lose to something like QJ or KJ, but pot odds dictate a call.

Call...with the turn check you induced a bluff from probably a missed FD.

Call, you checked turn for pot control and got a weak lead on the river. I can't see why this isn't almost exactly what you want with maybe a river card that hit a little less of his range.
