Default Hourly Rate of Online Tournament Pros?

Anybody have a feel for what the hourly earning rate of a top online tournament pro would be? My guess is around $125/hour:

Playing 6 hours a day, averaging $750 in buy-ins per day and having a 100% ROI, they'd earn $125 per hour.

Just my guess. Anybody have a better estimate?

I've got about 1000 table hours of tournament play in 2007, and I've made $14.46/table hour with 35% ROI. So with an ROI 3x as high, I'd be making $45/table hour, which would probably be more like $150+ per hour assuming multi-tabling but scaling back the number of tables played when deep in something.

My average buyin is $134, though, which I think is higher than you're assuming.

generally, double your wage, and thats how many thousands you make a year (comes from 40 hour work week and 50 weeks = 2000 hours / year).

I'd assume most poker players put in more than 40 a week however. An hourly rate as "low" as $40 could still be 100k a year, while $125/hour is quite high, it also projects close to 300k/year.

Minus $$ blown on big events (or won on big events :-D) etc. Quite nice.

Yeah... I mean there are players that put in like 80 hours a week, but the reason most of us play poker is so we don't HAVE to work 40 hour weeks. I probably spend 20-30 hours max a week actually playing.

Now, time spent wasted on these forums is another matter...
