[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Amazing how many people (including several here) still dont realize that chip count deals FAVOR the chipleader and absolutely rape the shorter stacks [/ QUOTE ] I tend to agree. Nicky's chip lead was not that great. The other players were too desperate to deal though. Him getting near 50K more than the next guy in all fairness is a joke. Life isn't fair though. He could have gone out next. [/ QUOTE ] It was just a great move on his part. Good for him. [/ QUOTE ] Nothing wrong with asking for more if people are dumb enough to give it you, but if other players would have refused to give up and he turned down that deal with the current chip situation it would have been retarded. Edit: messed up my quotes |

Nicky got an AMAZING deal on this [/ QUOTE ] Especially for someone without much experience at all in this area. Am I reading OPR right, or has Nicky not played a tournament in the past 4 months? |

I absolutely understand that the deal favors the chipleader. However, at this point, although he didn't have a huge lead, he did have a 2-1 lead over everyone, I think you're better off letting at least one more drop out. Especially because more than one of the small stacks is begging for a deal. But he did the best thing - he played hardball on the deal. He got the best of both worlds - the deal and then an extra $12k

Just thought of this after his c/r AI on Zeddor. If Gamb wins the extra $30k I think I'll cry. He def. does not deserve to win.

I'm a very low-stakes guy (my bankroll < 10,000), and if I was him, I'd want to know exactly how I can get the money to hit my bank account, and immediately. I wouldn't be taking ANY chances with this much money, especially after the Neteller fiasco. |
