i got hit pretty hard with KK/AA all day today, so i was feeling a little passive. Looking at it now i *think* i should have:

1) raised bigger preflop
2) raised the turn?
3) river.. well honestly i wasn't sure what to do, and i find when i'm facing an all in and i'm in doubt i should just fold. It kinda looks like it could be an idiot with a busted draw, but that's about all i can beat, right?

I guess had i raised properly on the flop/turn then i would have already been priced in by the time the river came, but I really thought i'd be hearing "as played, fold river".

could you elaborate a bit more on why i should call? what could i expect him to muck here? 89? AQ? any two diamonds?

Villian's line is capable of making a move like this with a wide range of hands but I don't see him having a straight or trips. He probably missed his flush and I think you're good hear with your two pair. But with your stronger hands on a some what coordinated board like this, you have to bet alot more and just can't slow down because he leads .40 on turn. That bet is merely just trying to slow you down just so he can get a cheap river. And on river, if he really had a straight, why would he push if the river paired board, doesn't make any sense so call here.
