Rest assured everyone that there WILL be a trip report on these tables, and well as the quality of games, limits spread, etc.

Thanks for the info. I hope I like them when I get there.

They have about 10 of these at Crown here in Melbourne.

They only spread the smaller limits 50c an 1-2 NL and 5-10 Limit and often some sit and goes.

The rake is less but not a great deal so.

I usually give them a go while waiting for a seat in my chosen game.

The hands are much quicker esp in the NL games.

The betting in NL can be annoying as there is no slider or any where to input a specific bet amount. Instead you must make your bet by pressing different chips on the touch screen to make uo your bet size then confirm the bet. I often just end up pushing the all in button which is a bit more satisfying and most of the other players seem to have the same feeling.

It does take alot of the fun away from the game i feel as the banter and moods of the players always seem better on the dealer dealt games.

I ended up not playing at all. I considered it but it didn't look too fun.

maybe they will go away if nobody plays them. so I won't.

I'm with you, I like the B&M atmosphere. I like dealers. I like chips. I like cards. I don't really enjoy online play. I don't see myself playing at these tables because I don't want to support them.

You guys are being ridiculous. From my experience so far using PokerPro at two Detroit casinos the players play worse with them if anything.

this is incorrect. They now play up to 2/3 NL ($A200 buyin)

this is incorrect. they rake to the nearest 10c, so when a "live" game has a pot of $8, no rake is taken. on this machine, the house takes 80c.

thus, the rake is significantly higher on these machines.

yes, massively.

Why is it ridiculous to like a real table/dealer/chips/cards? I'm not a professional poker player, anything that I make above break even is just a nice side effect of a hobby I have and enjoy.

I'm with you jj. Simply winning money is good, but doing it with real cards and chips is GREAT. I've played on these before, and, yes, you do see more hands. However, the pots usually aren't as big in my experience.
There's something inexplicably sexy about touching real cards and having a pile of real chips.
