TT Overplay?
Villian is 41/9 (after 23 hands). No other reads.
Full Tilt Poker Limit Holdem Ring game Limit: $1/$2 9 players Converter Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is Button with T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 folds, MP1 raises, 3 folds, Hero 3-bets, 2 folds, MP1 calls. Flop: 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (7.5SB, 2 players) MP1 bets, Hero raises, MP1 calls. Turn: 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5.75BB, 2 players) MP1 checks, Hero bets, MP1 calls. River: 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (7.75BB, 2 players) MP1 checks, Hero bets, MP1 calls. Results: Final pot: 9.75BB Things like this happen very often with me. I think its a leak in my game, where i bet or raise out with MP, and then get c/c the rest of the way. I think my PF RR was also questionable. Opinions? |

Re: TT Overplay?
I think the Pre-flop RR is ok. I usually just call but i can't see anything horribly wrong with 3-betting.
On the flop I put villain on a pair, after the turn (with no reads) you have to think its a J so check behind on the river IMO. |

Re: TT Overplay?
coldcalling is a no-no... its def a raise/fold issue

Re: TT Overplay?
coldcall preflop is fine, so is 3bet; 3bet is obv standard. fold never
the rest of the hand is fine... sometimes call flop/raise turn to mix it up. |

Re: TT Overplay?
Explain why a CC would be fine? would it be fine with 77-99 also? I have had a question with this and have folded 22-99 to a raise lately because I dont feel it is worth a 3 bet, but i feel that TT is.

We have more than 50% equity against his range and we have position. But it's quite close in value. It's like 50.7% so we are not missing much value by coldcalling. But I think reraising is definitely better here. You can coldcall 99-77 only if you are sure that the pot will be multiway. You need to have at least 3 players in the pot before you to coldcall. With 66-22 you need 4+ players to coldcall. Against a single player whose pfr is 13+ you can also start to reraise 99. At least according to my pokerstove calculations. |

Re: TT Overplay?
I like the river bet, I think based on the hand you are against 77 or 99.
