50NL river bluff in pretty big pot
I had seen villian miniraise other people about twice on dry flops like these, so I honestly felt like he had nothing when he raised me. Once he called my turn bet, I put him on either 55-88 or a weak queen like QJo and felt like a bet would take this down enough to be +EV.
My image has also been very tight, I think I was something like 8% preflop raise PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) SB ($123.25) BB ($16.50) UTG ($54.50) MP ($36.05) Hero ($49.25) Button ($95.25) Preflop: Hero is CO with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 1 fold, MP calls $0.50, Hero raises to $2.5, 3 folds, MP calls $2. Re: 50NL river bluff in pretty big pot
Without actually having some kind of read, supporting that villain is actually capable of folding I'll just give it up when raised on the flop.

Re: 50NL river bluff in pretty big pot
I dont like the river bluff here because he's shown a willingness to call you/raise you on every street so far.
The 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] changes nothing. So if he called your turn bet, there's no reason for him to fold here (unless he's a weak player). Only run this kind of bluff on someone you have already established as a loose passive who will give up on the river. But I'd be surprised if he folded here. It's also not inconceivable that villain hit a weak ace on the turn. |
