I usually don't like posts made just to disparage, but I'm sorry, this is just too much.

(1) Its a stupid game idea. Its all action no strategy. You might as well just flip coins.

(2) This doesn't belong in Internet Gambling. Try Other Poker.

The skill would be in hand selection. The fear of being forced to go all in might make people make mistakes by going in with hands that they shouldn't.

So go to LA and play in the 20BB max-buyin NLHE games. Or run one at home.

The arbitrary constraint of every 10 hands, not to mention the impracticality of keeping a running tally for every player separately, make the game ridiculous.

I like this idea very, very much.
Make it happen and I am game.

However, with cash-games you would need to make some strict rules about stack-size. Otherwise players with small stacks would have the edge and players with large stacks would leave the table.

Work on this idea of yours and contact a poker-site.
I hope this catches on.
Good luck!

It would only be for online games. Having 10 hands is what makes the game interesting. It's the pressure of picking the right situation before you are forced to. It's getting the most value out of the hands.

As far as the buy in it would be very low. A 1/2 NL table would have a max of 40 for example.

Every time an all in of yours was called your all in count would be reset to 10 hands.

The sites do plenty of complicated things for HORSE and Triple Draw it should be pretty easy to display a small hand counter in front of each player from 10 to 1.

There would also be skill in determining when you you should call with hands like suited connectors when you have three all ins ahead of you preflop.

Players would make all kinds of mistakes in these situations by not calling when they have the pot odds to call. It would be the sickest action game around.

(1)Well then make some suggestions to improve the game.

(2)This game could only be played on the internet. Other Poker generally deals with less popular games that already exist.

At least this is interesting and new. Do we really need more posts on how to cash a check.

Sounds like a lot of fun, and potentially profitable.

[ QUOTE ]
The hand doesn't count as an all if if there are no callers...You have to keep doing it until someone does

[/ QUOTE ]
This is a weakness IMO. Requiring callers will make the game end way too fast and piss people off.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well see they would be under pressure also. Everyone would have a hand counter so all would be under pressure. Everyones counter would be at different points.

It would count down from 10 to 1. Let's say I hand three you get AA and go all in. After that hand your count would reset to 10.

Kurt,

You need to get into the fish mind and appreciate how much fun this would be. And to claim there is no strategy or edge in this game is misguided.
