i know you hate his guts but he's your brother. don't turn him in for 2 grand (i probably wouldn't turn in someone i barely knew if they stole 2Gs of me if i knew they were going to the can for 2 years unless i really hated them). just be really really careful in future, and don't trust him for a second. if he does something like this again to someone else then he might go to jail or whatever, but you just can't send your brother to jail for 2 years for a little bit of money.

stealing passwords is ez if you have access to the victims computer.

Guide:
google "keylogger"
download one of them
open .exe before your victim uses the computer
after victim is done (obv has to type the password) open the log file

All of you should be using this free program to randomize and protect your passwords. Plus it does prevent keylogger from getting it if you never type it.

This situation is really disturbing. If my brother had done this I would kick his ass then turn him in. It sounds like neither option is going to help his addiction so just F*** him up with both.

Prison doesn't help. If anything it makes you worse. Not to mention if he just came out after 2 years, he obviously isnt going to learn anything after 2 more. Make him get a job and pay you back.
