I'd raise PF to 6 or 7, and then raise of the flop again, QQ you want to find out were you stand as quickly as possible inless you have certain reads.

Re: NL50 QQ c/raised by PFRaiser
Given that Villain is not very aggressive, either pre or post-flop, I'd put him on an overpair here.
With UTG raising pre-flop, I'd say there's at least one A or one K already out, which means that UTG+1 is more likely to hold JJ/TT than AA/KK/QQ. I find that flop check-raises from passive players on the flop means that they'd like to just take the pot down right away. I'm leaning towards re-raising on the flop, probably to $30. I'd probably stack off in this hand if Villain comes over the top of my re-raise, but I'm not the best player out there and I tend to overplay my overpairs. |

Re: NL50 QQ c/raised by PFRaiser
This could really well be a bluff. Why would he check/raise a big hand there? He doesn't really expect you to bet there given the PF action if you aren't playing like a maniac. I don't know if this would be the best line but I'd tend to call and reevaluate on turn. With his passiveness he could really well shutdown on a bricked turn if he doesn't have KK-AA. Remember the "dark tunnel bluff"? this looks exactly like this... a donk that bluffs w/o thinking of anything.

Re: NL50 QQ c/raised by PFRaiser
Any thoughts on the guy having AK and the nutflush draw?
There were a few good ideas of perhaps calling his cr and then seeing what the turn brings. I would have bet pot though on that flop to get a better idea and to also show him I am not messing around and if he wants to draw, he is going to pay. Not saying HE is on the draw, but just in other situations like this. My flop bets I bet 2/3, 3/4, or pot so its always different just on what I think the player will respect and fold/or call when I wanna extract. |
