Possible Legal Casinos In Texas
Two state senators in the Texas State Legislature are bringing up a bill to legalize casinos in the State of Texas. Here is a link to the story in the Houston Chronicle.

Re: Possible Legal Casinos In Texas
There was a thread on this before, and apparently involves a constitutional ammendment allowing something like a dozen casinos. This is where the Texas PPA state org needs to be lobbying for unlimited California style poker rooms to be allowed, i.e. by local option with virtually no regulation and taxation as a normal business. However it would be desireable to drop the part of the Cali local option which allows local cities/counties to micro-manage the stakes, and just be required to go with overall state regs on such matters.

Re: Possible Legal Casinos In Texas
You might not want this to happen. States which allow casinos tend to add state laws specifically banning all internet gaming. Hypocritical? Absolutely. I will vote against this. I dont want to trade internet gaming for a few slot machines.
