My donk view is that this guy flopped a set or had 10J and played it poorly and compounded that error on the river. Your raise is a a little stealy/bluffy/wreckless feeling so mayhave induced an aggravated shove.

i'd assign like a 1% probability to this

I think this is a fold. You get shown a bigger flush here way too often.

We're getting 3-1, so yah, I suppose if you believe it is more than 75% of the time, this is true.

I don't raise the river.

wow, really? i like a fold as played, but imo we should be raising this river for value.

given villains bet sizing, he doesn't often have a hand that can call.

For instance, 40 into 75 isn't a very strong hand.

yeah possibly, but maybe that's standard for him, we don't know without reads. it certainly wouldn't surprise me to see J-10 some of the time here.

i like the river raise, but unless you think he has the ablitiy to 3bet you with nothing on the river, then its a fold.

And we know this how? Granted I agree that it's not often a strong hand, but if one thinks they're up against a bluffy spewtard, it could be begging for a bluff raise over which they should three bet.

well, then you put yourself in a spot that we have agreed you can't call....

TBH, I think the value lost vs a higher flush (which seems pretty reasonable given turn bet (maybe not so much river bet)) is way worse than the value we gain vs most of his hands that can't call.
