I am going to be playing 10% or less of bankroll at a table so the chances of me going busto should be slim. I am new to 2+2 and have not heard about the "60k in 60 days" challenge. I plan on putting in at least 60 hours a week so I think my goal is not unreasonable. What are my odds of getting to 1k before going busto DWarrior?

O/U on burnout anyone? 5 days?

How unrealisitic is this (if you are an elite player - think Brian Townsend)? Its not that unrealisitic.

With your $200 you 4 table NL50 for 3000 hands and earn $300 in (a win rate of 10 PTBB/100). At 300 hands per hour this is a good days work. Now you have $500.

With your $500 you 4 table NL100 for 3,000 hands and earn $600 (a win rate of 10 PTBB/100). At 300 hands per hour this is another days work. Now you have $1100.

The third day you start 4 tabling NL200 for 3,000 hands and earn $960 (a win rate of 8PTBB/100). Now you have $2,060.

The fouth day you start 4 tabling NL400 for 3,000 hands and earn $1,680 (a win rate of 7PTBB/100). Now you have $3700 (rounding). If you were just to keep 4 tabling NL400 for 3,000 hands per day you would and winning at the same rate you would end up with over $90K after 60 days.

People have done this or stuff similar to it. The hardest part is getting starting out as you either have to play real small (and take your time getting to $2K) or put a substantial portion of your money in play with and increased risk of going bust or needing to drop back down and start over.

This is not an elite player, this is a guy who coldcalls with 73o, probably while trumpeting the cause of "pot odds" or some such nonsense.

Whether he'll go busto depends entirely on his bankroll management. Playing with a 10-buyin roll is risky, so his chances of going busto are solid.

Whether he'll succeed without risking too high a RoR rate or not. Well, I think it's extremely unlikely.

Good luck, though. You gonna rebuy next month if you fail?
Maybe you should just check with GA if you're not having a little problem.

Gee, I haven't even looked at the hand.
If that wasn't a misclick but something he'll do more often, his chances of bustoing seem rock solid.

No doubt.

I do think there are people that are capable of this though.

The world is full of people who think they are capable of this. Fact is almost none are.

So true.

This is not too far off the aba20 and cts stories though (at least what I gathered from the well threads). Guys with a tremendous amount of talent that love to play and study poker and get off to a good start can have this kind of success.

Well for the 73 hand I was in the big blind and it was min raised I believe. The other player was insta calling my bets which led me to believe he had top pair or flush draw. I am not claiming to be an elite player like Brian Townsend but I do have alot of experience at every level up to 5-10 and 25-50 blinds, more so 5-10. Therefore I believe I have an advantage over an average player trying this. Playing 10% percent of bankroll at a table is risky but if I tried 5% it would just take to long to move up in stakes.
