Default AKo smoothcall - reraised by passive player

The smoothcall-reraiser in this hand comes across as very tight and somewhat passive. My notes on him say something like "Overly tight, easy to push off steal raises." Stast are 22/12/1.5

Overall the table has been playing weak tight, and I have chipped up gradually by stealing and making continuation bets. I lost a big pot the last orbit which is why I am back to just a single buyin.

I know that the standard 2+2 line on AK preflop with 100BBs is to get it all in since at worst I will usually be a coinflip, but this preflop action just stunk.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $4 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

SB ($692.85)
Hero ($404)
UTG ($1349.70)
MP ($419.50)
Button ($119.20)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP raises to $16</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, SB calls $14, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $48</font>, MP calls $32, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises to $694.85</font>, Hero vomits.

Just fold. Isn't this a coinflip at best scenario?

Flipping at best...almost never do you see a bluff like that. Someone calls a PFR with garbage on the hopes that someone behind raises so they can make a move? Yeah right...I find it tough to imagine you're not smoked.

Pretty poor advice. But make your reraise bigger, 60 to go is good. Easy fold to the push.
