[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] 3. Every time those new characters whose names I forget open their mouth I find myself wondering why they bother introduced them. They both seem completely useless. Would anyone notice if they weren't there. I mean what was the point of introducing them so early in the season when they have done absolutely nothing. FWIW I'm glad that they haven't done anything because they are both played by awful actors they're characters seem to have no depth and everytime they speak I want to hit them. Even though they have been useless I think that's good because I would hate to see them get an important role unless something makes them intersting. [/ QUOTE ] Agreed, I've mentioned this a couple of times before, but it's worth noting again, these two really suck. [/ QUOTE ] My theory on those two is they're supposed to give us some insight in to what the "other losties" are thinking. Remember how annoyed they got at the beginning of the season because they never got included, etc? They're a little balance. I hope they never get more involved than they are. They're pretty terrible. [/ QUOTE ] These people were introduced because a ton of people were bitching that there weren't any new characters and we only knew a few of the LOSTies. [/ QUOTE ] this might justify introducing new characters, now try and justify the fact that they are so bad. |

Good ep.....Did anyone else LOL when Sawyer said the chic on the beach "Who the hell are you?". It was like he was a LOST viewer for a second wondering as we have how it's possible for new plane crash victims to be showing up @ random.

But it seems like if you are a black actor on this show, you can expect to be either killed or written off the show by leaving the island on a boat. Why does Lost hate black people? And Locke leaving the Russian unattended was very uncharacteristic. And when he sat down to play chess, I don't know if there is anyone who didn't immediately know that the Russian would be waking up and surprising Locke. |

thought this ep was pretty good, but Locke's behaviour was really out of character. For a guy who's dealt with Other hostages before (Ben) - you'd think he would've learned his lesson. Didn't seem right that he turned his back on his hostage. [/ QUOTE ] I thought this totally fit Locke's character. He's obsessed with the Island, and the computers. I think he'd put anything aside for one. It's stupid, but it totally fits his character. |

is it also possible he recognized the board set up and wanted to get back to it (from looking at another forum; it was a very famous 1978? or so world championship game which was the 'code' to get access to the communication system)

Like the little smirk Locke had when he beat the computer. He needs approval from anywhere he can get it (Daddy issues FTW). So I guess it was more frustration than anything else for me. Does he ever learn? He implodes the hatch, he befriends Ben as their hostage, etc. And now he loses control of his hostage AND blows up The Flame. He's a bigger [censored] than Charlie. |

He would jump into a tank of dharma sharks with pork chops glued to his body just to ask them what their names are. |

Yeah locke has changed, he used to be cool. And about killing off all the black people or writing them off the show, I don't think any remaining character is black. So I guess Sun and Jin will be targeted next.

another good, no great, episode. not sure why they have to have one great one and then suck for two episodes and then continue this cycle. they must know what people want and imagine they lose viewers if they keep putting in fluff episodes throughout. keep the story developing and ill be happy. pretty simple.
also, i get sooooo fudging annoyed at posts in these types of threads that all they say are "wow" or "sick" and that's the entire post. it essentially adds nothing to these threads except another garbage post to scroll through. unless readers are watching both lost and following along on their computer at the exact moment they dont know what is meant and even if they do, who freakin cares. are you "sicking" the cow sighting? "wowing" the chess match? say something or dont bother posting. |
