Default Is this all-in call with JJ proper?

This was a hand from Monday night's Stars' $162. This was deep into the second hour of the tournament. The average stack was 4500 chips. Hero had a TAG image but had aggressively taken down several pots in the last few orbits. In addition, the previous orbit Hero had opened UTG+1 with AK and folded to two all-ins behind him. Moreover, as soon as the blinds hit 100/200, a number of players began shoving AK preflop. Lastly, Hero has no real read on villian (new to table) except for my prior HUD stats on him as 25/17/2.

I realize that my preflop raise was too small and should have been either 800 or 1000.

Is Hero's call of this all-in preflop proper?

A. Raise to 800 here.

B. 99.99% of the time when someone limp reraises UTG its with AA/KK/QQ/AK, a disgusting amount of the time AA/KK. I'd say the break down is something like:

40% AA
40% KK
10% AK
10% QQ

So holding JJ i'd make a painful fold.

Thats a painful play by villian. I know folding is best, but I would of probably puked a little then called, because i normally play $5 tournaments!

Do you think he would of pushed had you of stuck in 1K ?

I'm thinking he would of got all his chips in the middle either before or on the flop anyway whatever the texture.

fwiw, what actually happened?

No, it's not proper, but besides the fact that you're likely aware a lot of donkish players will limp / push AA,KK, and AK here, and a majority of the time it's the big two, the major deciding factor for you here should be that villian has you covered.

FreakDaddy,
you are wrong. It may be a call or fold (I happen to lean towards call) but the deciding factor has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not villain has you covered.

Sorry, this isnt even my thread, but why is this so positivly a call? I do not understand why. I think that I would make this call based on Villian doing this with AK a lot, but even then you are a coinflip. So it is WB/CF I think... But Ansky and Twisted said call so my better senses are telling me that that is the right decision, but what is that based on? Chips? Level? Limp pushing?

:::cliff notes::: More explanation please.
