I remember the town in DW2 where you could bet on monster fights. The Poison Toad PWNED! He always went off at 15-1 to 20-1 and he won I'd guess 1 in 6 or 7 times. Mayne not that much, but you could make money betting him.

I'm pretty sure this was DW3, I'm actually playing it currently

Are you sure? I don't remember making it very far in 3. I actually played 2 forever and never beat it.

It's definitely 3. I'm replaying 2 currently. I'm in the wander around and level up stage... oh wait, that's the whole game.

Thanks, OOT for the recommendation. It's an addictive old school RPG.

Sweet, is this for PS2 only?

I'm going to buy it tomorrow, played DW I-IV and loved them all.

Hello all, pardon the slight thread hijack. I am alone for the holidays and a little too drunk to be playing poker right now, so I thought I'd get a nice game of Civ3 Conquests going.

Unfortunately, I lent my disc to my buddy and the game won't play without it.

Can anyone recommend a solid turn-based strategy or RPG game for the PC that I can buy online and download?

Muchas gracias, and feliz navidad to all...

Salty

Thanks man, I appreciate the help!

Do you prefer RTS or Turn-Based? I've played Civ and Ceasar which are both turn-based and I enjoy them although the complexity tends to drag in the later stages. I'm not sure what makes the RTS games different.

I like RTS's better. I loved some turn-based games though, like X-COM, Heroes of Might and Magic, and Fallout. I played Civ 2 and Civ 4 and they're not up there among my favorites. Playing Dawn of War now, an RTS based on the Warhammer tabletop games -- very fun, incredibly action packed, a very good game world. Am looking forward most of all to Supreme Commander, another RTS made by the guy who made Total Annihliation, next year.

I hate to bump old threads but I recently got this game and I'm loving it! Those of you who like RPG's need to get a hold of this game. The world is huge, the storyline is awesome, and the animation is pretty solid.
