I agree with bond up until the 4000.

Why are you betting 4000 here? is this to maximize value vs 44-88//not letting Ax keep drawing?
Are we C/F river and folding to a push here with t6265 left or are we going all the way with it?

I just got in on this but the raise to 800 looks good. I would of bet anywhere from 2400 to the size of the pot on the flop figuring someone or two are playing overcards and that flop is good unless someone is holding a 9 or a high pair and I am doubting 2's. Here I bet around 4500 because MP3 would call your 1600 bet with overcards or even a pair of 8's and maybe even lower just to see. Now if I get a call on the turn here its going to be a tough decision on whether MP3 has a 9, high pair JJ+ that is beating you, or middle pair and thinks we are trying to buy it and only have overcards and MP3 hand is winning but I think a call by MP3. But I think you have to bet this flop and turn for a good size amount because I think you are ahead so far.

To small on flop. Fire 4000 on that turn.

What are you trying to accomplish with this?

I'm value betting a hand i think is way in front. A bet like 1600 keeps a lot of hands in.

Okay so it was to maximize value vs 44-88 and overcards. I guess I agree with that. Are you going to folding or calling to a push here? Are you pushing, C/C or C/F on river if he calls?

Edit: I like checking the turn a little bit more than betting here. Guess I might go with betting since the flop bet was only 1600.

I'd only fold if the player was a known nit/hardcore slowplayer.

Thats what I figured.

I prefer betting 2000-2400 on flop, checking the turn and firing a value bet on the river. I think that we extract more from villain this way when he floats a mid-pair or other weak holding on the flop.

As played blocking bet the river with 2500. I don't like the whole hand post pre flop though.

its close, but b/f is better than c/c i think, and i think c/f'ing is kind of out of the question given the action thus far. the only reason c/c might be better is that he might decide to bluff with his 55 all of the sudden because the K rolled off.... but most people would just assume your AK just got there and check it through.

so id bet like 3500 and fold to a raise (despite being offered great odds at that point) because he isnt raising a worse hand.

Yuck.

I think you have 2 options here, bet 3000 and fold to a push. Or c/r him all-in. I'm not sure which one I like better after the way this hand has gone down.
