All,

Bringing pets into the office became really popular out here in the dot-com boom. I think it's one of the most idiotic "progressive workplace" policies ever.

Agreed. It's EXTREMELY inconsiderate to assume that all people love dogs (specifically your own), and think it's super fun and cute to have them jumping around you, yet dog owners seem to think that way. I hate dogs. With a passion. I think it might be genetic in the sense that dog owners MUST have an underdeveloped sense of smell; people who like dogs seem to be totally oblivious to the fact no matter how much you wash them, their dog smells like crap.
