88 in a $2.50 MTT, Is this the smart play?
I'll post the hand and put my thinking at the bottom:
*** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to Tking4unc [8h 8d] Calimero2k5: folds sam402: calls 800 LEODEPEO: calls 800 acheman08: folds Tking4unc: calls 800 erzgirl: folds Chiplead13: calls 800 rabbit086: folds stinkyjinky: raises 690 to 1490 and is all-in sam402: calls 690 LEODEPEO: calls 690 Tking4unc: raises 22231 to 23721 and is all-in Chiplead13: folds sam402: folds LEODEPEO: calls 12349 and is all-in *** FLOP *** [7s 9c 6h] *** TURN *** [7s 9c 6h] [Td] *** RIVER *** [7s 9c 6h Td] [Jh] *** SHOW DOWN *** LEODEPEO: shows [Qc Jc] (a pair of Jacks) Tking4unc: shows [8h 8d] (a straight, Seven to Jack) Tking4unc collected 24698 from side pot stinkyjinky: shows [6s Ts] (two pair, Tens and Sixes) Tking4unc collected 7610 from main pot *** SUMMARY *** Total pot 32308 Main pot 7610. Side pot 24698. | Rake 0 Board [7s 9c 6h Td Jh] -- With the 2 limps in front I didnt wanna stick a raise in before the flop, Id rather take a cheap shot at flopped a set. When the bb moved in for $690 more I saw a chance to go ahead and isolate that guy which I assume to have dominated, he essentially built a bigger pot for me. I cant think 2 limpers, and callers of that small raise will call the rest of their stack. Of course one did and I won a flip. Any thoughts? |
