27TD - std i think. i\'m very raw at this game.
i open UTG in a loose game with 23459. MP calls, button calls, SB raises, bb folds, i 3 bet, MP calls, button caps.
BB draws 1, i draw 1 and catch a four, mp draws 2, button draws 2. BB checks, i check, MP checks, button bets, SB calls all-in, i call, MP calls. BB draws 1, i draw a J, mp draws 1, button stays pat. i check, MP checks, button bets, i call, MP calls. BB draws one, i draw 1 and catch a K, mp draws 1. i check, MP bets, button calls. i fold. is this ok? |

Re: 27TD - std i think. i\'m very raw at this game.
Pre-draw action is weird. You raise, SB raises (that's a 3bet), you raise (what you call a 3-bet?) and Button caps? Isn't there a 4 bet cap?
Looks good otherwise. No way you're pat on the 9 in this multi-way pot. |

I might pat this all the way. You should definitely bet out after the first draw when goofy button takes two. Getting MP out right there (fearing getting squeezed in the middle) would be a big win.

i got the action wrong, i limped reraise trying to isolate preflop. when actin got to button he capped figuring we're playing for a lot of money anyway. he does this alot in hold'em.

Not even fish limpreraise in this game. [/ QUOTE ] I agree. I would be interested if anyone can come up with a justification for a limp-reraise in TD (that is not based on one or more of the other players being insane)? |

[/ QUOTE ] In higher stakes online games a few of the gambooolers like to limp in early if we are playing 5-6 handed so that they can draw at as many pots as possible. Obviously they get pounded for doing this and often have to call a three bet to now draw three OOP. To try to manage this some of them have started limp reraising with pat hands and good 1 card draws (or draws they think are good like 3567)... Interestingly Doc "School Bus" also uses this play and his limps are about 70% with meh hands and 30% with hands hes looking to limp reraise. This strategy is annoying to other players in the game, but can be somewhat effective. Obviosuly Doc is one of the most successful triple draw players playing today. So there is somewhat of a justification for you, but i still hate the play. |

I will do it with a hand that encourages callers, or a semi tough hand that I am going to see the first draw regardless of the action. Who cares if you get capped back to you, it would have happened in you open raised anyway in tougher games. TT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] |
