Default FPS? 86s

1-2 nl live at borgata. very tight table and i have a tight image.

effective stacks around 250

folded to mp player who limps, rest fold, hero raises to 12 in the co with 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] , bb and limper call

flop j [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] j [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] $38

check check, hero bets 20 , bb raises to 50, mp fold , hero folds.

was this me getting too cute at the table, or what?

this is fine every once and a while. I love raising SCs live because its so easy to outplay pretty much everyone at the table. Probably just give up on the flop and check behind, but betting is okay too as long as you bet more, at least $30.

Raising 68s from the CO is perfectly fine. I raise it from MP and even UTG occasionally. From the CO/Button it's an auto-raise for me.

I probably check this flop...with the intention of betting a blank turn if checked to again. From my experience...people love to CR bluff paired boards. They expect you to check your trips, so I check and represent it on the turn.

jordiepop,

seems fine. in these live games, raising this hand from LP is fine. don't recommend doing it from EP very often though unless you just want to 'sweeten the pot'. cause multi way pots are the norm at these limits and drawing OOP with a non nut hand is just bad.

there is merit to checking and betting flop. b/f is fine as long as you would bet a J here almost always as well (if you wouldn't, you should). checking is good as it allows you to either pick up a flush draw/pair/scare card to represent (A,K) or fold with no more invested.

Easy flop bet, this is one of the best flops to cbet on.

Checking behind and waiting for a safe turn card, and having both players check to you again is just a little too rare imo.
