Thought he can have an overpair or toppair, and could fold that.

it's 4way and you have a non nut fd/gs/9 high hand. i would check the flop and hope for a free turn.

Edit: and you're utg 5-handed. SCs like to be in position. fold preflop.

I disagree forever. Soooo many sweet hands to be made with 79s. Unless i'm on some freak UNL table that is getting super-aggro pre-flop, 5 handed i'm standard raising this all day long. You just got no gamble bro [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Preflop is somewhat OK. It's not great if it's standard for you to always PFR 97s UTG, IMHO. Table conditions would warrant it sometimes.

Flop, bet more I think if your going to bet it. Bet it like you have a set of jacks. b3bai is sexxy and standard on the flop.

c/r ai should also be considered because you are more apt to be called on the flop bet than raised, so b3b goes out the window. (with only one player to act behind you) And if it checks thru, it's not a disaster.
