Re: Set vs. Worst Turn in the world

Okay, I haven't been posting here in a while, but something seems really wrong with checking this turn w/ top set. [/ QUOTE ] agreed... i'm not sure if posters are being result oriented since we know hero gets check raised here or what? Check behind=absolute vomit |

Probably made a result oriented reply. He could have a bunch of hands besides a flush. I'll slap myself on the wrist... |

Re: Set vs. Worst Turn in the world
[ QUOTE ]
Checking this turn is ugly. Real ugly. Real real ugly. You need to bet this turn. There are way too many draws to give a free card here with top set just because the turn may have completed villain's hand. As played, the bet amount is solid, obviously just call the small raise and hope to fill up on the river. Pushing is spew once villain raises. If you fill up on the river, push, if not, call a small bet, otherwise fold. [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: Set vs. Worst Turn in the world
Agreed, a bet is required here, and villian does give you the chance for a redraw with his small raise. Call the turn, and hope to check/call the river for a reasonable amount if you don't hit your boat.
