Default Marginal Hand Question...

With a marginal hand like middle or 3rd button weak kicker is it proper to cold call a raise? or to even go to the river or is it better to just fold?

I don't know what "middle or 3rd button weak kicker" means but the answer to you question is probably "no," though the real answer is "it depends." That's just a way of saying, of course, that the question is too broad to really answer.

Post a hand that contains an example of the kind of thing you're thinking of. Or just make one up that exemplifies the point in question.

(Flopping) middle or third pair w/weak kicker (from button)? If that's what is meant, then you might take it to river if heads-up. But yes, need some clarification and/or an example here . . .

I think I remember reading that 3rd button=3rd pair (in SuperSystem) so I would say probably not unless the pot is extremely large. Like Dr. M said, post a hand with some pot and player information and we can make a better decision.

LOL Brunson is such a [censored] donk. He probably made this terminology up. The English in that book is so awful I barely even know what to say about it.

Ovbiously it means you in HJ w/ A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I never fold middle button, but sometimes will not defend 3rd.

You're gonna need preflop action, too.
