I call here.

I also like betting the turn, and checking behind on the river. If he leads pot on river, we are beat obv.

Wrong. If hes betting the river and you bet the turn snap call again. Villans described as by villan have certain tendancies and are often highly exploitable. Many different ways to play this hand depending on how this specific villan plays, but as played turbo call river.

Really? Even if he has been playing passively the whole time?

I sucked at NL last month, so I'll take your word for it.

btw, I know that checking turn is standard. I only said I like to bet it sometimes to switch it up a little. And against this player it's not horrible.

There's a difference between preflop stats and postflop stats.

How often do you see a 48/23 with good postflop play?

Moreover, one of those is a postflop stat. And it shows that he is batshit crazy.

True, but the preflop reads here are very indicative of postflop play. As I tried to say before there are people like this that play many different ways to effect postflop play and different lines like this. I still bet the turn against a guy like this as there often is a ton of value. And if I bet the turn, I am calling a river lead b/c it is from some busted random high card wheat a ridic amount of the time. The std/easiest way barring actual reads other then postflop stats is def to check the turn and insta call the river. Also against people like this, as loose and highly aggressive as they are, betting all three streets is often a good play/for value simply because peopel this loose and aggressive almost always raise top pair at some point.

c/c c/c lead from random fish/ overaggro donkeys are missed draws/missed random unpaired cards a ridic amount of the time b/c at the river they suddenly realize they cant win w/out betting.
