Blast Corps-I have no clue how long it took me to beat this game. Yeah, the game practically demands perfection on over 100+ random levels.
Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge:The original for the gameboy. Not too bad until the end. Then for the end, you have one stage to beat. Then you have to fight every boss you have already fought in the game. Of course there is another random boss after those. Next the game throws another long level at you. Then you finish up by fighting Dr. Wily. Of course, if you lose all your lives you have to go back to stage 1. For some reason the game decided not to put another save point in between these 2 levels making it extremely painful. |

I don't think I've ever beat a video game.
Actually, I beat Diablo. I'm pretty sure that doesn't count though. |

Super Ghouls and Ghosts. Although it was a port of the SNES version for GBA, basically the same game.

KOTOR - Only because this is likely my favorite game of all time and i beat it 4 times.
Super Mario 64 - With all 120 Stars. Some of those last ones were a pain in the ass. Castlevania II Simons Quest - Another top game of all time for me, this took me forever as a kid. Was worth it. |

Does beating Super Mario 64 count if you used the internet to find the last 30 stars or so? If so, yeah, that one.
Goldeneye and GTAIII are up there. |

Super Mario 64 is kinda standard for anyone who had it when it came out, even getting all 120.
Monkey Island 2 is another one I thought of. Huge, brutal and awesome adventure game, and for the bulk (and hardest part) of it I didn't get help. |

I think Final Fantasy 3, and Final Fantasy 7 come to mind. Beating Super Mario Bros. when I got my NES in 1986 was pretty big.
KOTOR for the PC was pretty cool too. |

[ QUOTE ]
This list runs more recent but that's because [censored] really skews when you were younger... Super Monkeyball -- So you finish Expert without losing all of your lives. Here have ten more levels with the number of lives you have left! Then you finish those ten levels without losing all of your lives... have another ten really freakin hard levels. (Thankfully, at that point you have infinite lives). Master 3 still randomly pops up in my nightmares. [/ QUOTE ] You, my friend, are a very coordinated dude. |

Battletoads for NES is my clear winner.
Some other noteworthy games: Goldeneye - all cheats completed Perfect Dark - all levels completed on perfect agent Beating the original Zelda for NES without a sword (well, you can only get up to the last boss) |
