Actually, that was a "whois" result...I was doing a couple of NSLookups when I typed that, and must've had a freudian slip.

NSLookup can provide other details about the site, but whois is a better place to start. There are many websites that do these queries. For the whois, I used http://www.register.com/retail/whois.rcmx.

I'd be wary if his next question is whether you have a twin...

If you get an email from Idi the Nigerian about 55 million in a bank account that he needs help with, that email is a scam too.

[/ QUOTE ]

having someone fall for something saying...
admin: Chris Ferguson at Full Tilt Poker in reddish writing in the chat box while playing begs for a little more slack then someone falling for the email that you described, no?

[/ QUOTE ]

No, not really. Since if you look at the line above, you will see the actual user the "admin" message comes from.

And you might notice the email address isn't the normal fulltilt poker .com address that all the other emails come from, or you might wonder why fulltilt is asking for your passwords and other information no one asks for or they should already have.

So if you are so easily fooled about that, I thought I would tip you off to what is commonly called the "Nigerian Scam".

OH, and if you sell anything on Ebay and somebody with some wild story wants to pay you a lot of money for your stuff using Money Orders, even if you do get the Money Orders, WATCH OUT! They are fake money orders and will bounce.

[/ QUOTE ]

Additionally, if you're an Ebay seller and anyone from Nigeria or Romania win your item, watch out. They will most likely ask you to ship it UPS Next Day and expect you to pick up the tab, then refuse to pay and remove themselves from Ebay entirely.
