Your'e an idiot and stereotyping christians in such a way that I feel bad for you. Clearly you have a problem with christianity, or else you would have added catholicism, judaism, satinism, mormonism, crackism, etc.etc. these are all religions are they not? Any professional poker player, who happens to be a christian, clearly is not going to chase odds when it is not correct because he puts his faith in God and not factoral math. Although your'e analogy of a 'Religious' player may be true, can we not say the same about any fish? A religious player may trust in faith, while a fish trusts in luck, both are non-existent in this game over the long run. Go back to 5th grade please.

Hahaha funniest post ive ever read!! So how do you know these religious people are on a draw?? Do they fold their cards face up?? Do they bust you as you couldn't imagine some1 staying in with a gutshot for example??? So you're saying that say some1 was brought up by a religious family and socially conditioned that way, it means they cant make rational mathematical thoughts?? You're having a huking laugh! Most irrelevant, presumtious non validated post ive ever read. There's plenty of games to play in a casino where you can make a "leap of faith" besides poker (5k on red and kiss them rosary beads!! lol). Well thanks, this post has put a huge smile on my face, thankyou for amusing me.

Remind me to wear a cross or a Chai or some other religious item when you're entering the room, lol.

keep your eyes open for his book series in stores now. "HUK on Hold'em" its the one with the pentagram on the cover.

Honestly though, I think this observation is a bit out there. Next its gonna be play at tables with 47 year old, 5'11", white men who drive Toyotas and live in condos, because they are the biggest donks out there.

Personally, I've noticed this to be true. On top of that, I always thought gambling fit into that whole "love of money" thing the bible talks about.

When someone at my table puts their faith in anything at all to win them a hand, and goes against the odds because of it...aka

"Im going to call because God wants me to win" or "god is on my side" or "i have faith that god will help me" or even makes a cross on himself when he calls or pushes, im going to make money off of them.

THats not to say religious people are huge donks or shouldnt play. There are plenty of players who are religious and play amazing poker, much better than me. But, I see it as a weakness for a lot of players.

[/ QUOTE ]Thats exactly what I was thinking. The number of christians outweigh most other people you'll find at the table. That's why it feels like that. 1mil christians of which 5% is donks and 200k non-christians of which 5% is donks.

Also, as a side note, in all my years of profesional play, I never saw someone openely manipulating any sort of recognizable religious symbol at the table or saying any kind of prayer except as a joke. So I rather suspect this supposed profit oportunity rarely occurs.

Everyone takes a 'leap of faith' sometimes and you dont have to be religious to do it!!! I think emotion more than your faith effects your game. Anyway which specific 'influences' are you talking about?
You can exploit peoples specific superstitions at a poker table, but does every christian really believe jesus will help them make that flush or 1 outer?? I think not.
